Day 1, September 4, Monday. VILNIUS

- Morning sightseeing tour of Vilnius Old Town.

Enhance your experience of Vilnius’ enchanting Old Town on a guided tour (3 hrs). Stroll the ambient tangle of streets and gain fascinating insight into the city’s history visiting Vilnius Cathedral and its square, the University campus, Pilies street with historical and architectural monuments, Gothic corner of Vilnius with St. Anne’s and Bernardine churches, the former Town Hall square, the Gate of Dawn with a miraculous icon of Virgin Mary.

Day 2, September 5, Tuesday. TRAKAI - KAUNAS

- Breakfast in hotel.

- Morning tour to Trakai, the former capital of Grand Duchy of Lithuania, with its beautiful insular castle of the 14th century, situated on an island in the middle of a lake.

The town of Trakai is situated west of Vilnius between the hills, forests and lakes. This town, famous for its picturesque landscape and the legendary Trakai Castle, was a cradle of the Lithuanian statehood, an important military and political center, headquarters of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes, and the capital of Lithuania. Today, Trakai attracts visitors to a wonderful place offering refuge from a hectic city life, with walks around the beautiful area or boat rides on one of the numerous lakes.

Your trip continues to the second largest city in Lithuania – the colourful, modern, and constantly changing city of Kaunas. En route, visit Pazaislis Monastery, founded in the middle of the 17th century by Camalduli monks on the banks of the man-made Kaunas Sea. One can admire a famous miraculous image of Virgin Mary at the monastery.

Day 3, Septermber 6, Wednesday.
KAUNAS - RIGA

- Breakfast in hotel.

- Morning Kaunas City tour.

A small and compact city, nevertheless, full of original architectural sites dating back to various historical periods, attracts travellers with its unique cultural heritage sites: impressive remains of Kaunas Castle, Vytautas the Great Church, which is located in a wonderful place – on the right bank of the Nemunas river, Kaunas Town Hall Square, called the white Swan, the Laisves Aleja pedestrian avenue (the Avenue of Liberty), which is the main shopping and dining street of Kaunas, and much more! For those interested in art, there is a possibility to visit the Museum of Devils and the Art Museum of M. K. Ciurlionis, the known Lithuanian painter, composer, and writer.

- Afternoon drive to Riga.

Enroute you will have 2 stops:

  • at the famous Catholic pilgrimage site – the Hill of Crosses near Siauliai, where people donated thousands of crosses and rosaries to God thanking him for his mercy;
  •  and at Rundale Palace – a unique treasury of Baroque and Roccoco art in Latvia.

Day 4, September 7, Thursday.
RIGA – JURMALA

- Morning Sightseeing tour in Riga

Did you know that the Old Town of the Latvian capital is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List as the exhibit of the biggest collection of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe? You can find out more about this on a sightseeing tour of Riga with a local guide. You will see the charming medieval Church of St. Peter’s, the Palace of the Blackheads, which become Riga’s business card. You will also have a chance to take a look at the largest in the Baltic States Riga’s Dome Cathedral, the Monument of Freedom, and many other beautiful places.

- Afternoon arrival to Jurmala, Latvian resort of sandy beaches and pine forests.

When you arrive in Jurmala – the main resort of Latvia by the Baltic Sea – do not rush, enjoy the fresh pine forest air, take a walk on the 26 kilometers long beach, and, of course, take a dip in the sea. The gentle white sand beach and shallow seashore are especially convenient for swimming with children.

Day 5, September 8, Friday.
SIGULDA - TALLINN

- Morning drive to Tallinn, the beautifull capital of Estonia.  

Enroute you will have a picturesque stop at Sigulda,  one of the most charming, active, historical and greenest cities in Latvia. Because of the location in Gauja National Park, this tour is filled with wonderful landscape and nature sightseeing. Sigulda & Turaida are magical places where walking can take days: medieval castles, Sigulda bobsleigh track, Turaida and tranquil nature of river Gauja valley.

- Further drive to Tallinn

- Arrival in Tallinn, check-in, dinner in hotel

Day 6, September 9, Saturday. TALLINN

- Morning city tour in Tallinn, a city with beautifull medieval Old Town, impressive museums and cozy restaurants, cafes, and bars

Enchanting Tallinn fascinates with its authentic and cozy Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amusing medieval architecture, narrow streets, defense towers and facades of the churches, ancient gates and many of Tallinn’s most interesting sights will be on this sightseeing tour.

In the afternoon you will have a scenic drive to surrounding districts of wooden houses, including those near baroque Kadriorg Palace and Park. Kadriorg Park is one of Tallinn’s favourite spots for a stroll. It’s remarkable for its diverse landscape architecture, which is showcased by the various smaller gardens on the estate, such as the Japanese Garden.

The tour continues to the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, the ancient Pirita Convent, and seaside Olympic Village from the 1980 games.
